Custom Watch Dial and Watch Face Printing for High-End Watchmakers
Custom watch dials combine small typography, fine markers, colour control, and precise registration on a compact part. SIGNRACER 2512HB and the SR-200+ inkset can support this work when the actual dial material, surface preparation, layer stack, and curing settings are qualified together.
A Controlled Workflow for Custom Watch Dials
The SIGNRACER 2512HB uses two to eight Ricoh Gen. 6 printheads with 5-15 pl grayscale droplets and a specified print resolution of 635 x 900 dpi. These capabilities support fine graphics and small text, while the approved result still depends on the artwork, print mode, ink configuration, substrate, and viewing distance.
A digital workflow can support bespoke colourways, patterns, textures, and short production runs without creating a new physical decorating tool for every design. Keep an approved sample and its RIP settings with each design so later orders can be checked against the same reference.
The 2512HB specification includes metals, acrylic, wood, glass, PET-G, leather, and other rigid or flexible media. Every watch component should nevertheless be tested for wetting, adhesion, curing, handling, and any project-specific resistance requirement before production release.
SIGNRACER 2512HB for Raised Objects
The SIGNRACER 2512HB combines a 2500 x 1250 mm vacuum table with a high bridge for objects up to 500 mm thick. Its linear-motor carriage is specified at up to 1.2 m/s, and registration pins and fixtures can help position repeat parts for controlled short runs.
SR-200+ for Extended-Gamut Workflows
SR-200+ includes extended-gamut options such as Orange, Violet, Magenta-R, and nickel-free Yellow-HD, plus light colours, White, and Varnish configurations. The archived UL 2818 certificate held by SIGNRACER ended on 25 January 2025, so confirm current certification separately and validate the selected ink configuration on production material.
