Flatbed Printers with the Linear Motor Technology
SIGNRACER flatbed printers use linear-motor carriage systems to provide controlled motion across the print bed. The drive system is one part of the complete print platform, working with the encoder, mechanical structure, printheads, RIP settings, ink, and curing system.
Faster Carriage Motion with Linear Motors
A linear motor drives the carriage directly and allows its position and movement profile to be controlled without a conventional carriage belt. On current SIGNRACER flatbed specifications, the carriage is rated at up to 1.2 m/s; actual production speed depends on the selected print mode, passes, ink configuration, and job.
Built for Industrial Environments
The carriage system is integrated into a rigid industrial frame and coordinated with the printer encoder and motion controls. This architecture reduces reliance on belt transmission in the carriage drive, although normal inspection and preventive maintenance remain necessary for the complete machine.
Encoder Feedback and Carriage Control
Encoder feedback lets the control system track carriage position during each pass. Consistent mechanical setup, calibration, printhead alignment, and media positioning are still required; no single component can guarantee registration or final image quality by itself.
Smoother Prints with Reduced Vibration
Direct carriage control is designed to support smooth acceleration, travel, and deceleration. Stable motion is especially relevant when printing fine graphics or working at a greater printhead-to-surface distance, where fixtures, surface flatness, and the selected mode also affect the result.
Current Specified Resolution: 635 x 900 dpi
Current SIGNRACER flatbed specifications list a print resolution of 635 x 900 dpi with Ricoh Gen. 6 printheads and 5-15 pl grayscale droplets. Resolution is one input to output quality; screening, passes, profiles, ink behaviour, and viewing distance must be evaluated together.
