Applications
The SIGNRACER 1610 is a versatile printer that can handle a wide range of materials, making it suitable for various applications. It is ideal for producing high-quality graphics on both dark and transparent surfaces with its White, Gloss, and Primer inks, in addition to CMYK process colors. Its ability to print on rigid and flexible materials such as PVC boards, Aludibond, PS, PP, Acrylat, PET-G, and Glass makes it perfect for printing signs, displays, and exhibition graphics.
Printhead Technology
Signracer’s partnership and OEM agreement with Ricoh allows us to offer the latest printhead technology, including the Gen.5 with 2.5 pl and one of the first companies to offer Gen.6 printheads. Ricoh’s smaller drop print heads are suitable for special applications that require higher precision, such as watch faces and industrial components. Signracer also develops its own waveforms and inks, allowing for even higher print output and top quality at maximum printing speeds without compromise. This ensures a perfect match between our ink formulations and waveforms, especially in grayscale printing.
Ink Technology
Greenguard Certified
Signracer 1610 uses Greenguard certified inks, ensuring low chemical emissions and decreasing indoor pollution levels. This certification sets stringent guidelines for total VOC emissions, making our products suitable for use in child’s rooms or educational settings that have to meet even stricter standards. With low emissions, our printers maintain healthy indoor air quality, reducing the risk of asthma, allergies, respiratory diseases, eye, nose, and throat irritation, reproductive and developmental defects, various diseases, and forms of cancer.
Digital Primer
The Signracer 1610 offers an integrated digital primer feature, which enables printing of adhesion inhibitors under printed areas only. The printer’s high-performance UV LED technology directly or with delayed curing, produces solid film-like surfaces suitable for all industrial production purposes, even with challenging materials. The solid primer film provides strong adhesion to the material and creates unique effects using white and color on top. This feature reduces the need for separate priming processes and enhances the print quality, providing customers with a more efficient and effective printing solution.
Waveforms
Signracer develops its own waveforms, which is crucial for small drop print heads like Gen. 5s and high-frequency print heads like Gen. 6. This feature enables even higher print output and top quality at maximum printing speeds without compromise. Signracer waveforms are a perfect match with the ink formulations, especially in grayscale printing, ensuring exceptional image quality and accuracy.
Ink Bottles
The Signracer 1610 uses ink bottles as ink reservoirs, ensuring that old inks are never mixed with new ones, resulting in a very stable printer with no sediments in the bottles. Slow ink aging is achieved due to the low viscosity ink formulation, running at only 38°C – 40°C, which requires less cleaning during operation. This reduces the ink consumption and cost, making it an ideal choice for high-volume printing.
OEM Inks
Signracer utilizes high-quality OEM inks produced by Nutec Digital, meeting the highest quality standards. Our low viscosity ink formulation is designed to operate at a lower temperature, which reduces ink aging in the system and requires less cleaning during operation. Our industrial print solutions are capable of printing on a variety of materials, including leather with long-term high flexibility, and achieving the highest adhesion on all types of substrates.
Hardware
LED UV System
The SIGNRACER 1610 flatbed printer utilizes the latest UV LED curing technology. The UV LED system used by Signracer has a high-performance air cooling design which ensures that no water cooling tubes are present in the cable chain. These LEDs have a long lifespan and are offered with a warranty period of 3 years. The LED UV lamp produces a light wavelength that perfectly matches the ink and varnish, with optional delayed curing for primers. Furthermore, the modular design allows for custom LED UV configurations for applications with varnish and primer.
Chassis
The foundation of the SIGNRACER 1610 is a robust, industrial-grade chassis designed for 24/7 production. The chassis is produced externally and then assembled and set up at our production house in Trier, Germany. Each unit is assembled with print heads, LEDs, electronics, and optional features according to the customer’s request. Final quality control includes a detailed assembly report and test prints for all functions of the printer. The chassis provides a sturdy and reliable platform for the various components that make up the SIGNRACER 1610, ensuring long-term durability and stability for your printing needs.
Anti-Static
During the printing process, static electricity can build up on the surface of the media, which can attract dust and other airborne particles, leading to print defects and quality issues. Anti-static technology is used to prevent the buildup of static electricity, ensuring that the surface of the media remains clean and free from dust and other contaminants. The Signracer 1610 features an anti-static carriage module from Kersten in Germany, which is designed for maximum performance and easy maintenance. This technology ensures that the printing process remains smooth and efficient, even when using challenging materials.
Cable Chain
The Signracer 1610 features a durable cable chain from IGUS in Germany, ensuring a safe supply of energy, data, and inks while under constant motion. The cable chain is referred to as the lifeline of modern machinery and has been tested for over 2 million cycles, ensuring that it is capable of handling the demands of 24/7 operation. This feature, along with the printer’s other robust components, makes the Signracer 1610 an ideal choice for industrial production environments.
CE Certification
The SIGNRACER 1610 has received the European CE certification, which guarantees that all components of the printer comply with the European standards for safety and reliability. Our engineering team provides technical support for all our customers across Europe. The machinery directive and safety standards EN ISO 12100, EN 60204-1, and EN 1010-1 are met to ensure the highest level of safety during operation. The emergency stop function is designed according to SN EN ISO 13850 with redundant relays and switches. The integration of light curtains further enhances safety and protection.
